Special Educational Needs and Disability JSNA

An Equality Impact Assessment was developed as part of the Special Education Needs and Disabilities JSNA, and the findings have been considered within the report. However, the data and intelligence presented in this JSNA is intended to act as an evidence base. When collating intelligence for this JSNA, consideration was given to protected characteristics, but it is not an alternative to drafting an equality impact assessment for other work for example when recommissioning a service. Therefore, where applicable an EIA should be completed using the intelligence within this and other JSNAs.

We have undertaken a review to understand people’s experiences of special educational needs and disability across Cheshire East. This work helps us to see where the gaps in support services are and make better decisions to meet the needs of our residents.

Sometimes errors come to light after a JSNA has been published. If this is the case, any amendments or inclusions will be detailed on a version control table on page 2 of the JSNA documents.
