What are Community Assemblies?

Community Assemblies are a new and important way for residents to get involved.

They bring together small groups of residents to explore key issues in more detail – looking at different perspectives, discussing options, and helping shape recommendations that inform council decisions.

If you join the panel, you may be invited to take part in a Community Assembly where you can:

  • Hear balanced information about an issue
  • Take part in open, constructive discussions
  • Help shape ideas, priorities, and future direction

Spaces are limited, so being part of the panel is the main way to be considered.

Making a difference

Your input helps us:

  • Design and improve council services
  • Shape policies and future plans
  • Understand real experiences across Cheshire East

Who can join

Anyone aged 18 and over who lives in Cheshire East can join.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and communities – the more voices we hear, the better our decisions will be.
