Nurses work with children of all ages and their families to ensure a holistic approach, taking into account their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances.

Depending on any identified needs, they may be open to a specialist nurse for that need or all families have access to a health visitor, school nurse or practice nurse.

If you are in need of a specialist nurse, it is likely that you will have already been referred by either your doctor or hospital. If you have any concerns about your child’s well-being you can always contact the 0-19 health hub for advice and support.
