Memorials in parks

Our parks provide beautiful locations to place a memorial for a loved one.

Benches

Benches can be requested for any of our parks and prices range from £800 to £1510 plus VAT. The price depends on the location and the style of the bench.

This includes:

  • Supply of 1 high quality, heavy duty bench seat – style depends on location

Trees

Memorial trees are a popular option. Trees are planted during autumn and winter (October to March). Most sites can accommodate a tree and each request is reviewed for suitability and species choice. The cost for a memorial tree is £400 plus VAT.

This includes:

  • Supply of 1 high quality standard (unless otherwise agreed) tree
  • Planting
  • Stakes, ties and a tree guard

This excludes:

  • Replacement if the tree dies after 1 year

If you wish to purchase a memorial tree, complete the Memorial Trees Request form.

How to scatter ashes

Here are some tips on how to scatter ashes, following UK regulations and environmental guidance.

  • Use an ashes scattering container, known as a "scatter tube" to help you scatter the ashes.
  • Scatter in a secluded area, ideally away from other people and avoiding the main pathways.
  • Be aware of the environment - avoid areas of special conservation and try not to disturb the ground.
  • Try to avoid busy periods such as Bank Holidays.
  • Try to avoid windy days.
  • Avoid scattering ashes on land where animals are grazing.
  • Memorials such as benches, plaques or plants should not be placed unless permission has been granted by the land owner.
