Good quality housing, in the right place is essential in contributing to the successful economic growth of Cheshire East. It is clear that housing has a major role to play in sustaining our excellent economic successes and regeneration projects throughout the borough, therefore our approach supports improving access to new homes to ensure a continued positive impact on economic growth.
We have supported the delivery of affordable housing through a range of initiatives including:
- attracting Homes England (the non-departmental central Government agency) grant funding
- using council land assets
- working with Registered Housing Providers (PDF, 83KB)
- delivery through Planning Policy and development of other innovative funding streams

The team are able to provide information about the council’s definition of affordable housing and specific site requirements, including information about our approach to rural housing.
