Weather related disruption

Details of weather related disruption to council services will be listed here.

Department for Transport publish hazard summaries about the impact of the weather.

Flooding and surface water

We are aware of localised flooding across areas of Cheshire East. Very heavy rainfall has recently overwhelmed the capacity of some drainage systems.

During heavy rain, surface water can sometimes affect our roads, causing disruption even though it usually subsides once the rain stops. Take care if travelling.

To report any issues that present an immediate danger, call us on 0300 123 5025.

Report a flood or find advice on what to do during a flood.

During periods of adverse weather we may need to rearrange planned works at short notice. This is to keep our teams safe, and to prioritise urgent weather-related issues.
