Report a tree issue

To report a council tree problem, contact the relevant team:

• Trees on a highway For trees with roots on adopted roads, pavements, or roadside verges, report them using the roadside trees and hedges page. If the tree is causing an emergency or blocking a road, you should still visit that page – it explains what to do in an emergency and how to report urgent problems.
• Trees in parks and play areas

• Trees on footpaths and public rights of way

• Trees in the following countryside parks

• Trees affecting overhead power lines
  If your concern relates to a tree growing into, touching, or close to an overhead electricity power line, contact SP Energy Networks, the electricity Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for Cheshire East.

For other trees, contact the organisation responsible for the tree:

• schools - contact the individual school
• housing trust or housing association land - contact the relevant registered social landlord
• trees affecting phone lines - report damage to BT cables, poles, cabinets or manholes | BT Help

• trees on private land - contact the owner
