Have you thought about paying your Council Tax by Direct debit?. If you’re not already paying by Direct Debit it’s easy to set up.

Paying your Council Tax the Direct Debit way means you can choose which of our five monthly payment dates suits you best (1st, 5th,10th,15th, 22nd, 27th). In addition, because it is automated you won’t have to worry about missing a payment, and yet you stay absolutely in control and can cancel the Direct Debit at any time.

Have you fallen behind with your payments? If you cannot afford your payments and want to request that your instalments are rearranged to make them more manageable, fill in our online form.

Financial support

We are looking to support residents who are experiencing financial difficulties. You should check your eligibility for Benefits by visiting gov.uk/benefitscheshireeast.gov.uk/benefits or contact the Council Tax team if you are unable to pay your bill.

The Cheshire East Emergency Assistance scheme is a safety net for people in crisis. This is a non-cash scheme, but we can help in other ways.
