Air Quality Monitoring Station

Cheshire East has three automatic monitoring stations. One of these stations is owned and operated by the Council and records real-time levels of nitrogen dioxide and fine particulate matter on Market Street in Disley.

In addition there are two stations owned and operated by Defra as part of a national Automatic Urban and Rural Network (AURN). A number of air pollutants are monitored at these stations including nitrogen dioxide and fine particulate matter. These sites are located on St Michael's Way in Middlewich and Mablins Lane in Crewe.

You can find all our monitoring data on the air pollution monitoring page.
