Supplementary planning documents add further detail to policies in the development plan and provide further guidance on specific topics or locations.

Final Draft SuDS SPD Consultation
The final draft consultation began at 12pm of Monday the 4 of September 2023, and will close at 7pm of Monday the 2 of October 2023.
You can view the document and the representations made, as well as make your own comments on our consultation portal.
Other Draft SPDs
SPDs being prepared on a number of topics including: Developer Contributions, Jodrell Bank Observatory; Environmental Protection; and Biodiversity Net Gain.
Comments on previous consultations are currently being considered and the next steps for each SPD will be published here when available.
Adopted supplementary planning documents
The following adopted SPDs are not part of the statutory development plan but may be material considerations when making planning decisions (the weight to be given to the older SPDs will depend on their consistency with current policies). SPDs adopted in 2009 or earlier are only relevant in the area previously covered by the former council that adopted them. The map of former districts shows the areas covered by each former council.
