Heavy rainfall is happening more often across Cheshire East, causing flooding to homes and businesses in areas at risk from surface water and rivers.

You can use GOV.UK to check the long term flood risk for your local area.

If you are in a flood risk area

If you are a property owner in a flood risk area you should:

• sign up to flood warnings 
• make a flood plan (PDF, 308KB)
• consider making changes to your property to reduce the damage flooding can do
• make sure you have insurance

Sandbags

We do not provide sandbags for residents. If you're in an area at risk of flooding, we strongly advise you to make your own preparations in advance to improve flood resilience.
