Access millions of fully searchable pages of British and Irish newspapers from 1703-2003 with the British Newspaper Archive (BNA), including local titles such as the Cheshire Observer, Congleton and Macclesfield Mercury, Crewe Guardian, and Winsford and Middlewich Guardian. The archive grows each month and currently includes 870,000 newspapers from the Victorian period; 56,000 printed during WW1 and 41,000 printed during WW2 . BNA is only available to use via a library computer, but once registered you can access your saved searches from any device.
