traCE – track, report, alert Cheshire East

You can use traCE to report a problem at a location within Cheshire East. 

Report an issue on traCE

The system will check if the issue is on land we own or maintain and shows what we are doing about it.  

The types of issues you can report include:  

  • potholes
  • faulty streetlights
  • litter
  • abandoned vehicles
  • blocked drains and gullies
  • fly-tipping

How to report a new issue 

  1. Choose ‘Report a new issue’. 
  2. Start typing the nature of the report in the ‘Type of issue’ box and select the option that best matches your report. 
  3. To pin your issue on the map, search for a Cheshire East place or road name, use your mobile device location, or choose your location on the map. Known reports of the same type will be shown.
  4. Click ‘Show details’ for more information and the option to subscribe for progress updates. 
  5. If your issue has not already been reported, place a pin as close as you can to its location and select ‘Report a new issue here’. 

How to find an existing report 

  1. Choose ‘View existing issues’ from the main menu. 
  2. If you know the reference number of the report: type it into the issue reference box and select ‘Show on map’. 
  3. If you don't know the reference number: start to type the nature of the report in the ‘Type of Issue’ box and select the option that best matches the report you want to see.
  4. Search for a Cheshire East place or road name, use your mobile device location, or choose your location on the map. Known reports of the same type will be shown.
  5. Click ‘Show details’ for more information and the option to subscribe for progress updates. 

Subscribe to updates in your area 

Select the ‘Subscribe to email updates’ option from the home screen to receive email notifications of issues in your chosen area. 

About traCE 

traCE is designed to get accurate and complete reports to the right team. That means faster responses and better use of resources.  

The system integrates with other Cheshire East systems and data to make sure reports are correctly categorised and directed, allowing delivery teams to spend more time on resolving issues and less time on administration.
