Mobile HWRC service from September 2025
From 1 September 2025, our mobile household waste recycling centre service (HWRC) will be expanded to cover more locations across the borough.
The full details of this service are still being finalised. Keep checking back to this page for more information.
The mobile HWRC is for domestic waste only – we won’t accept trade or commercial waste.
The mobile service is in addition to the household waste recycling centres in Alsager, Macclesfield, Knutsford and Crewe.
Where the mobile HWRCs will be located
It is currently expected that the following areas will receive one mobile HWRC visit every 4 weeks:
- Poynton east / Disley
- Audlem / Wrenbury
- Congleton
- Macclesfield
- Wilmslow
- Middlewich
- Crewe
The exact location of where the mobile HWRC will be in each area is still to be finalised.
The mobile HWRC will be available for up to 4 hours during each visit.
Why the mobile HWRC locations have been chosen
From 1 September 2025, the current mobile HWRC service will be changed to cover more areas where residents are either not within a 20-minute drive time of a HWRC site or are in an area where data indicates that incidents of fly tipping are at an increased level.
It will also ensure that residents living in more rural areas can access an adequate level of service through the mobile HWRC.
Booking system
Once the service is live in the new locations, you will need to book a slot before you visit.
