Late school place applications for September 2024

You can still apply after the closing date for on-time applications but you are less likely to get the place you want. This is because we only look at late applications after we have allocated places to everyone who applied on time.

Where we receive late applications before the deadline for the receipt of supporting information we may consider them at the same time as the on-time applications if there is a good reason for the application being late - for example, serious illness or a late house move. For us to do this you will also need to send evidence of the reason the application is late before the deadline for the receipt of supporting information.

For a house move, we will need either a solicitor's letter confirming completion date or a signed rental agreement. We may also ask for proof of residency such as a utility bill. You must be living in the property before we can use the address for allocation purposes.

We will class any applications we receive after the deadline for the receipt of supporting information as late and process them after on-time applications even if there is a good reason for the lateness.
