Sheltered housing is predominately for people aged 55 and over or for people with a medical need for this type of housing. A sheltered housing scheme consists of individual apartments, each with their own front door enabling people to live independently.
Each scheme will have different facilities which can include 24-hour emergency response, communal areas and optional social events, and is available to both buy and rent.
