Inspection and registration of care services
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) registers, inspects and reviews all adult social care and healthcare services in England in the public, private and voluntary sectors. This includes care homes, nursing homes, home care agencies and various NHS services. When considering a care home, a care home with nursing or home care agency, it’s always a good idea to check their inspection reports. The CQC has also started publishing quality ratings. These are both available on the CQC website
