Service interruption
Following the issue of the annual 2026/27 bills, we are currently unable to produce revised bills to reflect any changes to your business rates account. This is because we are awaiting updated software from our supplier to enable us to recalculate charges in line with the updated multipliers. We expect this update to be available in early April.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this.
The easiest way to get your enquiry to us is to fill in the online form. You can do this at any time of day or night.

Business rates scam
We have been made aware of a scam in which a ratepayer was tricked into handing over funds to a fake collection agency. They were made to believe they owed more than £700 in unpaid business rates.
You can check your Cheshire East account to find out if you owe money and how to pay it. Or you can contact the council if you have doubts about a phone call demanding payment.
You can find more information on business rate scams from the Valuation Office or see our information about business rates and the recovery process.
