Food waste collections for Cheshire East businesses

If you run a business that has 10 or more full-time employees, you need to separate food waste from the other waste you produce.

If your business has fewer than 10 employees you have until 31 March 2027 to get a food waste collection in place.

This is following Government legislation which came into effect on 31 March 2025. 

It means that you must separate:

• food waste (must be collected weekly)
• dry recyclables
• residual waste
