Cheshire East Annual Governors’ Conference
2024 Annual Governors’ Conference
This year, our Governors’ Conference will take place on Friday 18 October 2024, 9:00am – 1:00pm at Canalside Conference Centre in Middlewich.
Given the current challenges relating to SEND provision, this half-day event will focus on how governors/trustees can support their schools in delivering the best outcomes possible for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our Keynote speaker is Malcolm Reeve. Malcolm was appointed a National Leader of Education in 2010 with expertise in special education. As part of the National Association for SEN (NASEN), he is currently a National SEND Leader with Whole School SEND, delivering the DfE’s Universal SEND Services contract.
The conference aims to provide governors/trustees with the latest developments on national policy, local authority plans and best practice to ensure governing boards meet their statutory responsibilities for pupils with special educational needs. amidst increased demand and budget pressures.
A full programme will be published shortly.
