Nantwich shopmobility service

Operated by Nantwich Town Council from Civic Hall and from the Market Hall, Nantwich.

Open: Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm.

There is no charge for the use of the scooters.

Macclesfield shopmobility service

Operated by Disability Information Bureau, Shopmobility, Churchill Way, Macclesfield, SK11 6AY on behalf of Cheshire East Council.

Open: Monday to Friday 09:30am to 3:30pm

We loan motorised scooters or and manual wheelchairs to help you get around Macclesfield during our opening hours. We also have an electric wheelchair.

Advanced booking for all equipment is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

We are located close to the central shopping area in Macclesfield. We have a limited number of parking spaces and are on the local FlexiLink bus route. We are also accessible via taxis.

Membership for scooter hire is £25 per year, and members then pay £1 for the first 2 hrs, then £1 per hour thereafter.

Non-member rate for scooter hire for the day is £10.

Wheelchair hire is:

• £2.50 per day
• £10 per week

and a £20 cash deposit is required. This is to reflect the amount of work involved in processing the registration for one time users. We recommend that if you are going to use the equipment more than once that you become a member.
