Information
The Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Congleton Town Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 1 October 2024.
Consultation on the draft Plan took place between the 14 October 2024 and the 9 December 2024. The submission Plan public consultation took place between the 6 October 2025 and the 17 November 2025. Independent examination on the submitted Plan took place between the 27 November 2025 and the 18 March 2026.
Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to proceed to referendum was decided on the 7 July 2026, and local referendum on the Plan took place on the 27 August 2026, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the plan. The Plan was made on the 1 October 2026.
