Heart disease: information and local support services

Also known as Coronary or Ischaemic Heart Disease generally affects more men than it does women and is now responsible for up to 73,000 deaths in the United Kingdom per year. Symptoms of Heart Disease include Angina (chest pain), heart attack and heart failure. In the majority of cases, heart disease is largely preventable by making responsible and healthy lifestyle choices. Being smoke free, eating a healthy balanced diet, taking regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight are all important.

If you are a Cheshire East resident who is interested in making some long term changes to your health and lifestyle visit ‘One You Cheshire East’ for further information on the local health and lifestyle services.

How the rating works

There are an increasing number of digital health and wellbeing apps available. Orcha help indicate whether an app appears to be safe and of value across a number of rated areas. Any score below 65% would indicate that an App has some issues that users should investigate further prior to using this App. Scores below 45% indicate that an App has considerable issues or challenges and in its current form is potentially unhelpful or unsafe.
