Where we have a high volume of weather-related incidents it may take us longer to deal with non-urgent matters.
Due to a high volume of drainage enquiries, we are currently working through the backlog. Please be aware that there might be a delay in our response time as we prioritise and work through requests. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We can only deal with issues on our own road network. Report the problem to the owner if the issue is on a private road or on land owned by an organisation (for example, a supermarket car park).
You can get the Fix My Street app to report issues anywhere in the country. To help you set the app up, take a look at the Fix My Street user guide (MS Word, 5.2MB).
How we manage our roads and what actions we might take
For information about how we manage our roads and what actions we might take, see road condition and repairs.
Our programme of road and pavement repairs and improvements follows the priorities set through our highways asset management and well managed highways infrastructure programmes.
Logging a request
To handle service requests efficiently, please use the correct channels:
Logging your request ensures it reaches our system, where we assess and manage it. You'll receive progress updates if you use the reporting tool. Logging a request multiple times does not increase its priority and may delay our response.
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome
If you're unhappy with our service, or the lack of updates, you can escalate your request to a complaint:
We aim to provide high-quality service and appreciate your feedback.
