Council launches health lifestyle survey

10 November 2023

Cheshire East Council has launched a health lifestyle survey focused on improving the health and wellbeing of residents across the borough.

The survey is designed to gather feedback from residents about their current health behaviours and priorities.

The results of the survey will be used to develop new programmes and services to meet the needs of the wider community.

Just 12,500 households were randomly selected to participate in this important piece of research, to help Cheshire East Council, the NHS and the local voluntary sector learn more about resident views on their health and wellbeing.

The council wants to hear from local people about health, diet, fitness and other lifestyle areas as well as finding out about how life feels right now, to ensure services meet their needs effectively.

The survey, which is completely anonymous, is open for up to four adults aged 18 or over in a household and will take approximately ten minutes to complete.

All responses to the survey are confidential and will only be used for research purposes.

Rhodes-Jill-223x280Councillor Jill Rhodes, Cheshire East Council adults and health committee chair, said: “We are committed to working with residents to create a healthier and happier future for all.

“This survey will help us better understand the health challenges and opportunities that our residents face so we focus our resources where we can have the most impact.

“If you receive one of the surveys, I encourage everyone who has received one to participate and share their feedback without delay.”

If residents have any difficulties in accessing the survey online, please email phit@cheshireeast.gov.uk asking for a paper version of the lifestyle survey. Alternatively, residents can contact the council’s customer service team on 0300 123 5035 to arrange for a copy to be posted.

The survey will close on Monday 11 December 2023.
