The council reopened Crewe Market Hall in May 2021 following a £3m refurbishment and remodelling of the Grade II-listed building.

The Earle Street venue, which dates back to 1854, is now brimming with a range of high-quality traders including fresh food retailers, independent eateries, artisans and makers.

Customers can shop, eat, drink, rest and play, with a weekly programme of family-friendly entertainment, and a regular schedule of pop-up and speciality markets, community events and family activities.

Part of a total £50m programme of investment in the town centre, the refurbishment of the Market Hall plays an important role in Crewe repositioning itself as a prime leisure and retail destination.

The Market Hall project was supported by the Government’s Local Growth Fund through Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership.

  • For details of the Market Hall’s traders, and for more information about the venue, visit the dedicated Crewe markets website.

The Market Hall and the rest of the town’s markets are operated by Market Asset Management.
