Apply for a gambling premises licence

The application you need depends on whether you are applying for a premises licence, a provisional statement or an occasional use notice.

Download and complete:

• Premises Licence - Form A (Word, 45KB)
• Premises Licence - Form B (Word, 29KB)

You must also submit:

• a plan of the premises drawn to scale
• the relevant application fee

Apply for a provisional statement

You can apply for a provisional statement if the premises has not yet been built, is being altered or has not yet been occupied.

Advertise your application

You must publicise your application and notify responsible authorities.

You must:

• display a notice at the premises for 28 consecutive days in a place where it can be easily read
• publish a notice in a newspaper or newsletter that is relevant to the local area within 10 days of making your application
• notify all responsible authorities within 7 days of making your application

Occasional use notices for track betting

Licensed betting operators can apply for an occasional use notice to use a track for betting at temporary or infrequent events. These notices can be used for up to 8 days in a calendar year.

Fees

You must pay the relevant fee when you submit your application. The application will not be valid until the correct fee has been received.
