Current Consultations
Cheshire East Draft Equality Objectives
Cheshire East Council is inviting residents, service users and
other stakeholders to have their say on the development of its
Equality Objectives. The draft equality objectives indentify
specific internal and external targets that will enable us to
improve the collection of equality information, and address the
most persistent areas of inequalities faced by both employees and
residents. The consultation will run until 29th February 2012.
Improvement to Social Care Services
Cheshire East Council has announced that we
would like to begin discussions with customers and carers on how we
can continue to improve some of our social care services. This
includes some day and respite (short breaks) services.
More information about the Improvements to
Social Care Consultation can be found on our
Service Improvements page.
Cheshire East Council’s Draft Business Plan
Cheshire East Council’s new-look Draft Business Plan has been
released for engagement with stakeholders.
The document includes details of the Council's priorities plus
policy and budget proposals for the next three financial years
2012/13 to 2014/15.
The Draft Business Plan is available for comment until the
Council meeting on 23rd February.
Consultation on Admission Arrangements for 2013
In order to ensure arrangements meet the needs of the local
area, admission authorities have a duty to consult with relevant
parents and the local community on proposed changes to admission
arrangements. Full details about this process and the changes
proposed for 2013 by Cheshire East admission authorities are
available on the Consultation on Admission
Arrangements for 2013 page or for inspection at local
offices by arrangement by contacting the Authority on 0300 123
5012. Consultation ends on 1 March 2012.
Crewe Community Governance Review
Cheshire East Council has committed to a programme of
transferring services and assets to a more local level, that best
reflects local needs and aspirations. Where one exists, those
services may well be passed down to Parish/Town Councils as they
are, arguably, the most local form of community governance.
Because Crewe does not have a Parish/Town Council, Cheshire
East Council feels that it is appropriate to re-consider the
governance arrangements for Crewe and put in place an arrangement
that best reflects the needs of local people.
Cyber Bullying
The survey is aimed at young people aged 12-16 years who attend
school.
Cheshire East local authority want to better understand how
cyber bullying affects young people living in the area. This will
help us to plan projects and services to tackle cyber bullying, if
it is a problem. Taking part in the survey is entirely voluntary.
It will be impossible to identify you if you take part in the
survey, we do not ask for your name, it's completely anonymous.
The closing date for this survey is the 20th of February
2012.
When the survey closes in February 2012, we will gather all the
information and produce a report. The report will be shared with
other agencies who may be able to help us plan projects or
services. The results will also be made available on the Cheshire
East Website.
Adult Social Care Local Account
The way that council adult social care services are judged is
changing. The government has ended the assessment of council
adult social care services carried out by the Care Quality
Commission (CQC) and is replacing this with a document to be
produced by each council called a ‘Local Account’. Residents can
use the Local Account to judge how well the council is performing
in meeting priorities for adult social care.
The Local Account will be YOUR document so we want YOU to help
us decide what it should look like.
Please help us by completing a short survey. The closing
date is 22nd January 2012.
Admission Arrangements 2013
The Local Authority is now consulting on changes to its existing
admission arrangements, which if determined will apply to
applications for admission in September 2013 and subsequent years,
subject to any further review.
For further information, refer to the Consultation on Admission Arrangements 2013
page. The consultation will run until 1st March
2012.
