Bulky household waste
You can take items which are too big or bulky for your bin to a household waste and recycling centre. If you use a van, pickup, commercial type 4x4 or a trailer over 1.5 metres (internal length), you will need to apply for a household waste permit.
Temporary suspension of bulky waste collections
There is a temporary suspension of bulky waste collections. We are working to restart the service later in September. We will honour any bookings for bulky collections that have already been made.
Donate bulky household items
As an option residents may choose to donate bulky items that are in clean useable condition to charity. See below a number of local charities that accept bulky items, please check with each charity or organisation for full details and their terms and conditions. Other charities not listed may also accept bulky items.
Please note: The Council has no affiliation with, endorsement of, or links with the above organisations. The decision to use any of the listed charities is at the discretion of residents.
You can see where or how to dispose of items on our what waste goes where webpage.
