Kingsbourne Academy, Nantwich- update 

Construction and opening of the new Kingsbourne Academy primary school in Nantwich has been delayed. 

The new primary school, on the Kingsley Fields housing development, was due to open for its first class of reception pupils in autumn 2024, but delays, including transferring the site to the council and increasing costs, have impacted on the building programme. It is anticipated that the construction will now begin in late spring 2024, with the school opening in autumn 2025. 

Applications for school places for September 2024 entry are now open. Parents are encouraged to visit schools, make three preferences and apply on time. Closing dates are 31 October 2023 (secondary) and 15 January 2024 (primary). For further information visit the council's website or call 0300 123 5012.
