Urgent Help

  • Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger.
  • NHS provides urgent help for mental health. You can call 111 selecting the mental health option.
  • A GP can advise on treatment and help you access mental health services. You may be able to refer yourself to some services.

Support for people affected by suicide

  • The Martin Gallier Project, working in partnership with Alfie’s Squad, offer FREE specialist support for individuals, families, children and young people affected by suicide loss, with no waiting lists or barriers to access. Referrals are made through The Martin Gallier Project, with initial contact offered within 24 hours.

  • SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) – Peer support for anyone bereaved by suicide.
  • 2 Wish – Support for those affected by the sudden death of a young person.
  • Samaritans Step by Step – Practical support for schools and youth settings after a suspected or attempted suicide.
