Libraries

Joining the library opens up a vast world of knowledge, entertainment, culture and information. Once you become a member you may borrow up to 20 items! It's free to join - just pop into your local library (all you need is one form of ID with your name and address) or join online. You'll also have access to a range of online services and resources in both Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester libraries.

In addition, mobile libraries cover a wide range of rural routes across Cheshire East and operate on a 3 week cycle.

Galleries

"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time" said artist Thomas Merton. The variety of art all around us is endless and can include pub signs to parish maps, traditional oil paintings to tribal arts, or ceramics to computer graphics. A number of centres and galleries can be visited which allow people to learn new skills and view collections and exhibitions in one place.

Museums

Cheshire East also has a rich cultural heritage with many links to the past. There are a range of museums located across the borough where you can find out more about all sorts of things such as Cheshire's Roman and medieval remains, and the impact of the Industrial Revolution on local silk and salt production.
