What's New?

Jigsaw in January

Pop in during January and help us complete a selection of jigsaws. Something for all ages.

Grand book sale

Our big book sale starts on Saturday 18 February with something for everyone. All fiction 50p; non-fiction and audiobooks £1.00. Come and find a few bargains!

February half-term activities

  • Storytime on Tuesday 21 February at 10.30am. Suitable for children aged 2-6 years
  • Rhymetime and Megabloks on Wednesday 22 February at 10.30am. All ages welcome
  • Kids' Crafts on Thursday 23 February. Just drop in between 2.00 and 4.00pm. All ages welcome. 50p per child
  • LEGO Club Special on Friday 24 February, with Duplo for the little ones. Just drop in between 3.00 and 5.00pm 

Online family history

If you’d like to find out how to trace your family tree online, book a 1 hour lesson and we will show you how to use Ancestry, Find My Past and other online resources on the library computers. £3.00; please contact the library to book in advance.

Home Library Service

If you love books, but find it hard to access the library, then the Home Library Service might be for you. We can choose books according to your preferences and deliver them to you at home. We will also collect and return books for you.

We can provide large print and audio books and this is a free service with no additional charges for reservations. Please contact the library for further information.

Wednesday

  • Baby Bounce - 10.30 - 11.00am - weekly. Come and enjoy our songs and rhymes especially chosen for your little ones under 12 months or not yet walking, with their carers. Free. No need to book, just drop in

Thursday

  • Rhymetime - 2.15 - 2.45pm - weekly. Come and join us for songs, rhymes, music and fun suitable for all pre-school children and their carers. Free. No need to book, just drop in

Friday

  • LEGO Club - 3.30  - 5.00pm - weekly. Get creative with LEGO. No need to book, just drop in. Suitable for children aged 5 and over, accompanied by an adult
  • Keen Cooks Book Group - 2.00 - 3.00pm - monthly on the first Friday of the month. Come along and join the tastiest book group in Disley, and discover new recipes with our friendly group of food lovers. All welcome

Saturday

  • Kids Craft Club - 10.00 - 12.00 noon - monthly. Crafts for children of all ages. Parental supervision required. No need to book. 50p per child. Next date is 4 February
  • Stories and Songs - 10.30 - 11.00am - monthly. Stories, rhymes and activities for pre-school children and their grown-ups. Great for active toddlers – sitting is optional!  Free; no need to book in advance. Younger and older siblings welcome. Next dates are 28 January and 18 February
