Need help setting up an email account or getting online? Struggling with a digital device? We offer free 1-hour sessions to anyone wanting help with technology, whether on smartphones, tablets, laptops or PCs. Booking is essential.
Online family history
If you'd like to find out how you can trace your family tree online, book a 1-hour lesson and we can show you how to use Ancestry, Find My Past and other online resources on the library computers. £3.00. Please book in advance.

Activities at Bollington Library
Reading groups
There are currently four reading groups for adults, and two reading groups for children (ages 7+) and young adults (ages 13+).
Please contact us for further details and to reserve a place.
Tuesday
- Stories and Songs - 10.00 - 10.30am -weekly. Stories, rhymes and activities for pre-school children and their grown-ups. Great for active toddlers – sitting is optional! Free; no need to book in advance
Wednesday
- Rhymetime - 10.00 - 10.30am - weekly. Suitable for pre-school children, accompanied by an adult. Free event; no need to book
Thursday
- Story & Tea - 2.00 - 3.00pm - monthly, on the first Thursday of each month. Join us for reading and refreshments and share your love of books. Free; all adults welcome
Friday
- Rhymetime - 10.00 - 10.30am - weekly. Suitable for pre-school children, accompanied by an adult. Free event; no need to book
- Writers Group - 2.3 - 3.30pm - on the first and third Friday of the month. £3.00 per session. If you're interested, get in touch for details of how to join
Saturday
- Drop-in LEGO - 10.00 - 12.00 noon - weekly. Free. Suitable for children aged 5 and over, and their families

Dementia support
Do you live with dementia or care for someone with dementia? Would you like to learn more or help raise awareness? Bollington Dementia Action Alliance support group meets in the library every Wednesday at 2.00pm. Come along for support, information, coffee and a chat. Knit and Natter
The Knit and Natter group meets at 2.00 - 4.00pm on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Join us for all things woolly and refreshments.
Writers group
