Weston Road, Crewe – Utility Works

Public notice: Temporary One-Way Closure on Weston Road, Crewe

From 12 January 2026 until 6 February 2026, Weston Road in Crewe will be closed eastbound between Weston Road Service Road and the Savoy Road Roundabout.

Traffic will still be able to travel westbound towards the train station throughout the works.

These essential works are required to complete the installation of a rising main and will be carried out by Eurogold Group Limited. Due to the significant nature of the project, including deep excavations, a one-way closure is necessary to ensure safety and efficiency.

Cheshire East Highways will monitor the site regularly to make sure the works progress at an appropriate pace and meet all safety and quality standards. An enhanced Traffic Management signing has been requested to Eurogold which will be inspected following the commencement of works.

Communication with local businesses and stakeholders through a letter drop and advanced warning signs, which have been in place for at least two weeks prior to the start of the works.
