Weston Road, Crewe – Utility Works

A utility provider has informed us Eurogold will be carrying out works on Weston Road, Crewe from 12 January 2026 until 6 February 2026.

A temporary one‑way closure will be in place eastbound between the Weston Road Service Road junction and the Savoy Road Roundabout. The westbound carriageway towards Crewe railway station will remain open during the works. More information on the diversion route is available on one.network.

These essential works are required to complete the installation of a replacement water main. Due to the scale of the project and the need for deep excavations, the one‑way closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both the workforce and the travelling public.

We will continue to monitor the site regularly and will ensure the works progress as planned and meet all required safety and quality standards. Enhanced traffic management signage has been requested and will be inspected once the works commence.

Eurogold have advised local businesses and residents of the works and possible disruption by letter, and advance warning signs have been in place for two weeks ahead of the start of the works.
