Hind Heath Road, Sandbach

We are carrying out carriageway patching works on Hind Heath Road, between the junction of Crewe Road and Elworth Road Roundabout

What is happening

Works to deliver the carriageway improvements will start on Monday 28 July 2026 for 8 days.

We understand that there is no right time to work in such a key location and this scheme has been carefully planned to minimise disruption.

Please note that dates may change due to weather conditions.

Road closures and diversions

Under current Health and Safety legislation and for the safety of our workforce and members of the public, it will be necessary for the road to be closed between 7:30am and 5pm from the junction with Crewe Road and Elworth Road roundabout.

A suitable diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works, please see the map below or visit OneNetwork (opens new window)

Bus services will follow the diversion route but refuse collections will be unaffected

Further Information

• Diversion routes will be signed to assist in the movement of traffic while works progress. 
• Local businesses remain open and access will be facilitated with suitable diversion routes. 
• On site personnel will be on hand to provide help and advice to members of the public for the duration of the scheme.
• Delays are expected and motorists should plan journeys accordingly.
