Our highway network

The highway network is the largest and most visible publicly owned asset in Cheshire East. It is used daily by the travelling public for commuting, whether this is by rail, road, bus services, active travel, business, social and leisure activities.

It is essential for the economic growth of the Borough and the United Kingdom as a whole, as well as for the social and environmental welfare of local communities, contributing to the nation's prosperity.

Our investment programmes look to realise opportunities to combine maintenance activity with these wider benefits of transport to support the agenda for growth.
