Emergency planning
Cheshire East is a safe place to live and work, and major emergencies happen very rarely. When they do happen, emergency services and local organisations work together to respond.
How we prepare for emergencies
The council works with emergency services and partner organisations so they can respond quickly and safely if an incident happens.
We follow a process called Integrated Emergency Management (IEM). This approach helps us plan for different types of emergencies, prepare staff and services, respond when something happens, and review what worked so we can improve.
Our plans are flexible and support organisations to deal with major incidents at any time, day or night, all year round. We test these plans regularly to make sure they are effective.
