Access to the building

Pedestrian access to the office reception, registrars service/statutory ceremony room and family hub is off the high street and these rooms are wheelchair friendly.

The Ground Floor rooms in the old Town Hall (the Capesthorne Room and the Silk Room) are also fully wheelchair friendly.

Regrettably visitors to the First Floor rooms in the old Town Hall (the Council Chambers and the Assembly Room) should be aware that in the event of a fire alarm, when lifts return to the ground, they will need to be assisted out of the building by Evac-Chair if they are unable to navigate the stairs. Please flag the potential need for assistance to the service/room hirer at the time of booking/confirmation.
