Clean Team Conference celebrates community pride and share best practice
08 May 2026
Clean Teams from across Cheshire East came together recently for a dedicated Clean Team Conference – celebrating the incredible impact their volunteers have in helping to keep local communities clean and litter-free.
The conference was organised by Sandbach Clean Team Co-ordinator Mark Cook and Chair Michelle Mossford, supported by Cheshire East Council attracted more than 50 volunteers from clean teams across the borough.
A key focus of the event was recognising and celebrating the significant contribution Clean Team volunteers make throughout the year to enhance their local areas and community by regular litter picking, keeping their areas clean and welcoming.
While clean teams focus on their own neighbourhoods, the conference provided a valuable opportunity for like minded residents to connect with one another, share experiences and learn from one another.
The interactive and informative day, which featured talks and demonstrations, also recognised the shared pride and commitment of volunteers, who care deeply about their local environment.
