Cheshire East Council to host recruitment open day for waste and recycling roles

Job seekers are invited to a recruitment open day at Cheshire East Council’s Environmental Hub in Middlewich on Saturday 11 July – offering the chance to learn more about a range roles in waste and recycling.

As the council prepares to introduce changes to waste and recycling services this autumn – including the introduction of weekly food waste collections – it’s looking for people who want to help create a cleaner, greener borough while working in an active, supportive team environment.

A range of roles are on offer and on the day, attendees will be able to meet operational team members, see collection vehicles in action and find out more about the benefits of working for Cheshire East, as well as the upcoming service changes.

There is no need to book a place at the recruitment event. People can go along to the Environmental Hub, Cledford Lane, Middlewich, CW10 0JR, between 9am and 2pm for an informal chat about the job roles with current team members, who can support with making an application.

There will also be opportunities to take part in an interview on the day.

  • HGV Waste and Recycling Driver Loaders
  • Waste and Recycling Loaders
  • Customer Services Advisor (Environmental Services)
  • Business Support Officer (Environmental Services) 
  • Waste Team Leader
  • Mechanic Fitters
  • Waste Transfer Station Plant Operator
