As part of our dedicated waste and recycling team, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable household waste collections throughout Cheshire East.
Keeping Cheshire East moving.
As a Mechanic Fitter your role is to maintain and repair the fleet that keeps essential services running every day. You will carry out a wide range of vehicles and plant servicing, fault diagnosis and defect repairs using specialised fleet equipment, ensuring all work meets legal and safety requirements.
Your expertise will help minimise downtime, keeping vehicles safe, reliable and ready for the road across the borough.
Our waste, recycling and street cleansing teams keep things moving across Cheshire East.
From Team Leaders in Waste and Recycling to front-line roles such as Street Cleansing Operatives - Compact Sweeper Drivers, and operational staff including Waste Transfer Station Plant Operators, alongside vital support roles like Business Support Officers and Customer Services Advisors (Environmental Services), these teams work together to deliver a reliable, high-quality service across the borough.
