Former Royal Arcade redevelopment

Phase one of the major redevelopment of this site in Crewe town centre delivered a new modern bus station and multi-storey car park. The bus station and the car park opened in Summer 2024. 

The council has completed a meanwhile green space (Phase 2) to make positive use of the site while longer-term comprehensive redevelopment options are progressed (Phase 3).The scheme introduces soft landscaping, lighting, seating and a new pedestrian route linking the bus station and multi-storey car park with Victoria Street and Queensway. 

This temporary arrangement supports local businesses and the wider community and is funded through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
