Memorials honour loved ones and provide a place for remembrance. We aim to make the process of creating and maintaining memorials clear and respectful.

Timescales for memorials
Most cemeteries have varying timelines for erecting a memorial on a grave. You should contact the relevant cemetery office for details.
Maintenance, installation and safety of memorials
Cemetery rules are vital for managing cemeteries while respecting individuals' rights to install lasting memorials. Memorials that do not comply with these rules cannot be placed.
We ensure our cemeteries are maintained safely. All work conducted within the cemeteries must be done safely and without risk to others.
We are registered with British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons (BRAMM). Memorial masons working in Cheshire East cemeteries must have BRAMM accreditation.
Exclusive Right of Burial
To reserve a plot in a cemetery you will need to purchase the exclusive right of burial. There are several options and prices vary. Contact Bereavement Services for more information.
The owner of the Exclusive Right of Burial is responsible for the safety and maintenance of the memorial.
