Rail links

The West Coast Mainline travels through the borough with stations at Crewe and Macclesfield. Glasgow is 243 miles to the North and London 158 miles to the South. Other lines link to North Wales, Manchester, Derby and Shrewsbury.

Road links

The M6, the longest motorway in the UK, runs through the Borough providing a direct route from London to Glasgow.
