You need a bingo operating licence from the Gambling Commission before you can apply for a bingo premises licence from Cheshire East Council.

Who can apply?
You can apply for a bingo premises licence if you already hold a bingo operating licence issued by the Gambling Commission.

Bingo in clubs and alcohol licensed premises
Bingo is a form of equal chance gaming and may be permitted in:
- clubs
- miners' welfare institutes
- alcohol-licensed premises
If bingo played during any 7-day period exceeds £2,000 in stakes or prizes, an operating licence may be required for future bingo activities.
