Public toilets

All public toilets are cleaned at least once per day and, wherever possible, disabled and baby changing facilities are provided.

The toilets in Crewe and Macclesfield are managed by Cheshire East Council. Others are managed by Town Councils. If you have a query please check below the party to contact.

We are currently receiving a number of enquiries regarding the accessibility of toilets in Macclesfield Town Centre now that the toilets in Marks and Spencer have closed. The Council is aware that this is a concern to a number of residents. Whilst it is not a statutory duty to provide public toilets, the Council is working collaboratively with Macclesfield Town Council to try and find a way to provide alternative central toilet facilities in Macclesfield town centre which can be made accessible to the public. We expect to be in a position to update the public before Christmas.

In the meantime, and though not ideal, Macclesfield Town Council has financially supported St. Michael’s Church, next to the Town Hall, to allow the public to use their toilets. They are open on the following times:

Mon-Wed 10am-12pm

Thurs-Sat 10am-3pm

There are also accessible toilets at Shopmobility on Churchill Way which is open 10.00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
