A54 Rood Hill roundabout

We will be carrying out resurfacing works on the roundabout and the junctions with Mill Street and Mountbatten Way.

When is it happening

The works will start on Thursday 1 October until Sunday 4 October 2026 between 7pm and 6am, including weekend nights.

Letters to residents and businesses

We will send a letter to all affected properties before the works begin.

It is important to know that:

• the letter does not allow access through the road closure
• access may be restricted for safety reasons

If you have special access needs, speak to the site supervisor as soon as possible.

Local businesses will remain open as normal. Access will be provided where it is safe to do so, or via diversion routes.

Road closures and diversion routes

We need to close roads to keep both the public and our workforce safe. During the works:

• signed diversion routes will be in place
• follow the diversion signs
• find full diversion details on the roadworks and travel disruption page

Bus companies are aware of the works. Services may run on different routes or timetables, so check the operator’s website.

Waste collection services will not be affected.
