Cheshire East is transforming

Find out how...

Cheshire East Council is changing

We want to give people the best services we can.

We also want to protect those who need extra help. But the world is changing fast - and more people need our services.

We do not have enough money to keep doing things in the same way that we have always done.

The government has told us we must improve through a Best Value Notice. We agree.

We know we must get better, and we must do what we say we are going to do. To help us, have written a Corporate Improvement and Transformation Delivery Plan. This document brings all our improvement and transformation plans together in one place. It explains what we will do, and how we will do it.

How we are making the changes

Our improvement priorities

We have four priority areas. They are the core requirements of the government’s Best Value Notice. If we get this right, we can deliver everything in the plan. Underneath these priorities sit the transformation programmes and projects.

Each programme has leaders and managers who make sure work happens in the right way.

Find out more by browsing the priority pages below.
